Garlic Herb Pork Chops
When it comes to weight loss food needs to feel easy. This recipe is one of many that I share with my weight loss clients. Weight loss food is just delicious food that fuels your body the right way.
In our house we prep the fridge not individual meals. We cook big and makes sure the refrigerator is stocked with cooked food so we have plenty of options to build fast, easy and delicious meals.
These pork chops are a weekly staple. Super easy, delicious and perfect for leftovers.
I typically cook 7 chops, 5 bone-in and 2 boneless. We usually have company when I make these so I get 2, sometimes 3 for leftovers.
Ingredients:
- 4 (or more) Bone-in Pork Chops, about 9 oz. each
- Salt & Pepper
Garlic-Herb Rub:
- 1 TBSP olive oil
- 3 TBSP Italian Herb Seasoning
- 4 tsp Garlic, minced
adjust the seasoning mix to your liking
Here’s what I do:
- Dry the pork chops, season with salt and pepper
- Pre-heat the oven to 375 degrees
- In a small bowl mix the garlic-herb rub
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat – I dry sear my chops, no oil
- Add 2-3 pork chops at a time to the skillet (don’t crowd the chops)
- Sear the chops for 1-2 mins. per side then remove to a baking pan
- Once all chops are seared rub both sides of each chop with the garlic-herb rub
- Place chops in pre-heated oven for 12-14 minutes or until internal temp is 165 degrees
- Remove and serve with salad and/or veggies
Make extra so you have leftovers. I made this lunch in 3 minutes. Plated the salad while I popped the chop in the microwave for 1 minute.
