Me: Blood Sugar & Insulin Balance – How to Burn Body Fat
If you haven’t heard me give my blood sugar / insulin spiel nows your chance. I think my interview is only about 30 minutes long, just enough time to scratch the surface ; ) My normal nutrition talk about this stuff is about an hour and a half. Day 1 Speakers, March 5th
Dana La Voie, an Acupuncturist, Herbalist & founder of Menopause Basics. Dana will be speaking about finding natural relief from what seems like uncontrollable weight gain, hot flashes, night sweats and mood swings.
Joe Cross, the creator of the movie Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead (available on Netflix) will talk about fasting and how it can help with weight loss, different ways to fast and how juicing can be a part of fasting.
Sam Asser, one of the founders of Fast Way To Health, a movement around all you need to know about fasting. She talk about finding joy in your journey, listening to your body and how fasting connects you to your body
Ana Sofia Batista is a Psychology and Cognitive Neuroscientist. She will talk about how to relax the body and mind and create a habit of meditation even without meditating.
Day 2 Speakers, March 6th
Sally Baker, an award winning therapist, best selling author and popular speaker who helps people all over the world release their negative, limiting beliefs. Think emotional eating, social anxiety, panic attacks, procrastination and other self-sabotaging behavior.
Liz Hogon, a hypnotherapist who treats people with issues such as fear, phobias and anxiety. She specializes in the areas of depression and weight loss.
Michelle Pualani is a facilitator at Be Better Empowerment and will be speaking incorporating wellness into a busy schedule and setting yourself up for success. She addresses habit forming and meditation and visualisation for weight loss success.
Tina Hnatiuk is a women’s leadership coach, yoga instructor and founder of Soul Strategy Sessions. She will be speaking about finding clear vision and direction for a life free off anxiety. She also address 3 things about anxiety that hold you back from living a fulfilled life. Along with 3 tips you can start immediately to decrease the stress in your life.
Day 3 Speakers, March 7th
Tansy Rodgers is a health coach, personal trainer and group fitness instructor. She specializes in coaching women who are frustrated by weight gain, low energy, low self-esteem and poor health. She’ll be speaking about stress and the different types of stress in a busy life as well as gut health and healing the gut.
Dr. T. Beaubrun is an integrative family physician and certified Transformational Nutrition Coach. She will be speaking about peri menopause starting in the late 30s, contributing factors of symptoms associated with peri menopause, and about balancing hormones, sleep and stress
Sharon Snowdon is a pilates, fitness and wellness coach who helps women in their 40s and 50s lose weight in a healthy, sustainable way. She will be speaking about how stress affects weight and menopause, as well as the importance of quality sleep.
Andrea Caprio is a Certified Transformational Nutrition Coach, Corporate Wellness Coach and a Digestive, Hormonal Health and Autoimmune Specialist. Andrea is an expert in empowering busy, working professionals with chronic diseases, weight issues, stress and fatigue to nourish their bodies and flourish in their lives.
Day 4 Speakers, March 8th
Terry Bahat an explorer and developer of women’s mental and physical inner strength. She helps women become healthier, more energetic and stronger in mind and body along with building confidence and self-esteem. Her passion is about helping women who are stressed, tired, overworked, and unhealthy make time for themselves and take charge of their lives.
Chrissie McDonald is a Weight Loss Consultant who is all about creating strong women, in body and mind. She will talk about exercise during menopause, what type of exercise is best and if the type and duration of exercise you do is right for your. She’ll also explain why weight lifting is good for you.
Kristyn Haster is a Fitness Instructor, Weight Loss Trainer and Personal Transformation Coach. She will discuss some of the biggest struggles/excuses people have when trying to lose weight and how to overcome them. As well as why it is so hard for women to stay active and ways to make working out more fun.
Barbara St. Louis is a Certified Personal Trainer, Nutrition & Fat Loss Coach. Barbara will talk about common mistakes women make when trying to lose weight, the important relationship between exercise and midlife weight gain, dietary changes to reduce menopause symptoms and how to put all of this together without feeling overwhelmed.
Day 5 Speakers, March 9th
Melanie Connolly a Holistic Health Coach and Culinary Nutrition Expert. Melanie empowers women to take control of their health so they can slow or stop the progression of autoimmune conditions. She will discuss how to build a healthy foundation by reducing overall inflammation through proper digestion and gut health.
Micki Contini, my good friend and colleague is a Board Certified Holistic Nutritionist, Functional Medicine Practitioner and Thyroid Cancer Survivor. Micki’s mission is to educate and empower women worldwide about natural solutions to take control of their health. She specializes in Menopause Management, Healthy Weight Loss, Natural Hormone Balance, Detoxification, Successful Aging and Disease Prevention. Micki will be talking about thyroid health and symptoms and give a 5 step plan to fix your thyroid.
Amy White, ME! I have a Masters Degree in Nutrition and am Board Certified as a Holistic Nutritionist and a Functional Nutrition and Lifestyle Practitioner. My goal is to educate, empower and enable my clients to take control of their health. I work with each client to connect the dots between their diet, lifestyle and health. I’ll be speaking about insulin and how it controls the bodies ability to store or burn fat. I’m on a quest to convert people from being sugar burners to fat burners.
Marney Perna is a Kinesiologist & Women’s Health Educator. Marney’s passion is to assist people to reduce and manage the various levels of stress and to identify triggers and release mechanisms so they can live a happier and more fulfilling life. She will speak about easing menopause symptoms and managing body weight as well as why women fail or give up on successful weight loss plans.
Day 6 Speakers, March 10th
Tracy Atkinson is a Vedic Astrologer and Coach. Tracy uses powerful systems that establish a flow and elegantly align her clients with who they truly are at the soul level. Tracy will explain what Vedic astrology is and its benefits as well as some of the best ways to overcome fear and anxiety.
Cheryl Ciecko founded an integrative architectural wellness-consulting company that provides support, assistance, resources and insights to both professionals and individuals challenged by water damage and mold toxicity. She’ll talk about common symptoms related to mild mold exposure including hormonal issues and weight gain as well as much more about mold and how it can affect your health.
Joanne Fairbrother is a weight loss consultant. She will be discussing the sugar content of everyday foods. Over the years, Joanne has discovered that very few people really understand where sugars are found in their diet.
Emma Woolrich is a qualified energy healer. Emma uses a blend of her intuitive and coaching skills to get to the heart of the issue and help her clients create sustainable change physically, emotionally and mentally. She will talk about supporting the body through detox, emotions and memories.

Sharon Burris-Brown is a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach. Sharon helps women all over the world release their stress, avoid burnout and take control of their schedule so they can have more time for the people and interests that are important to them.
Cordelia Gaffer is on a mission to help women prevent adrenal issues, thyroid issues, diabetes, heart disease and even cancer. She will talk about reducing stress, achieving emotional stability from chaos to calm and how to reframe your perspective.
